UK Garage is in my opinion one of the cooler house genres.
I simply love how you can switch up things with the 2-step inspired rhythms and heavy swing quantization.
For the BPM (beats per minute) and Tempo, UK Garage actually has a pretty large range - and that’s why I love to produce tracks in this genre. You have so much creative freedom in terms of the BPM and Tempo.
But If you look it up, the BPM and Tempo of UK Garage are typically around 130 BPM.
I have analyzed the BPM and Tempo of a lot of UK Garage tracks and the range goes from 126 - 138 BPM.
In other words, you have a lot of creative freedom to smack that Korg M1 Organ House sound on a 138 Beat per minute UK Garage banger - or if you are more in a chill mood: set the tempo to 126BPM!
The choice is yours :-)
The combination of chopped rhythms and a Tempo at around 130BPM is what gives UK Garage its distinct signature sound.
